Successful Leadership Programs in Delaware Inspire Additional Offshoots
In 2019, the Region 4 Comprehensive Center (R4CC) and the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) formed a partnership to strengthen leadership of Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) schools in two urban districts.
OSSE Reimaging High School Graduation Requirements
The aim of this initiative is to identify and implement new high school graduation requirements that incorporate outcome measures and support innovative approaches to preparing young people for life after graduation.
Providing Support to New Maryland Superintendents
The Public School Superintendents’ Association of Maryland (PSSAM) requested capacity building services from the Region 4 Comprehensive Center (R4CC) in the development and facilitation of professional learning experiences for new Maryland superintendents. Approximately 40% of Maryland superintendents were hired during the 2022-2023 school year.
Maximizing “Option Two,” NJ’s Alternative High School Course Completion Program
Option Two is a provision in NJ education code that allows LEAs to offer students credit for educational courses and experiences taken outside of the high school.
Developing a Statewide Vision for Equity: The Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EIB) Roadmap
The R4CC worked with staff from the Office of the Secretary of Education to develop an Equity Roadmap for the state.
