The R4CC team assisted the DDOE in overhauling the required employee annual review process. The project team reviewed the current employee evaluation system; conducted a survey of DDOE senior staff to identify perceived strengths and weaknesses of the current system; collected information from other State Education Agencies (SEAs) to identify best practices; and worked with DDOE staff to build a new evaluation process. In fall 2022, R4CC will partner with DDOE to review initial implementation of the evaluation system and identify opportunities for improvement.

Helping State Education Leaders Identify Measurable Goals for Their Work
The R4CC team assisted the DDOE leadership team in developing tailored goals and metrics for their work in supporting the Department’s overall mission and vision. As part of this project, the R4CC team engaged in conversations with leadership team members to articulate ways in which their work supports DDOE priorities; identify key actions that they would undertake over the next year to support these priorities; develop measurable goals for their work for the coming school year; and identify simple ways to collect and analyze data about progress toward these goals.
