Improving the Organization and Delivery of Special Education Services for Justice-involved Young Adults

The R4CC team is working with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) to launch a coordinated effort to develop an in-depth understanding of the current system of education for incarcerated youth. A key project activity is the development of a task force representing the many different agencies involved with this population to identify ways ensure that youth receiving special education services receive required services in line with Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements. Team members are participating in the Decision Analysis process to identify the organization responsible for ensuring these services are delivered to young adults.
